Meet the Pastor

After having the honor of serving as the Pastor and First Lady of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church for the past eleven years, we announced our retirement from the pulpit (September, 2017) to do the full-time work of community development. As we embark on this journey which has always been our “ First Love” we are excited to have the opportunity to network with our sister faith based and community organizations dedicated to the transformative success of our youth and families. Paul asked the rhetorical question in Romans 10:14...How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

As we have answered the clarion call to action we earnestly pray that you will join us in accomplishing the change that we all aspire to see...Transformed Communities!

Our subsidiary (Kingdom Way) and our community partners would like to invite you and your family to join us as we give thanks for the blessing of family and community. Both our national as well as our international missions have allowed us to identify the commonality of need of youth and families irrespective of their geographic location...water, adequate nourishment and access to education. It is our mission to serve as a conduit to these resources for those whom we have been called to serve. We ask that you would consider the contribution (s) of your time, your talent and or a monetary donation to assist us in achieving these goals.

Any child that wakes up or goes to bed hungry is our concern. Any child who does not have access to an education is our concern. Any child that has to live in an environment where he or she is not or does not feel safe is our concern. Communities that lack safe drinking water rather that be in America (Flint Michigan), South Korea or the continent of Africa (Ghana-Kenya-Uganda) we view as our concern.

The Gospel is the message of the Good News, of the coming of the Kingdom of God...the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection. The three year mission of Jesus Christ was the preaching of the Gospel that "the Kingdom of God  is at hand." The Good News is the message of repentance, redemption and restoration.

Dear God, 

I need You . I am humbly calling out to You! I'm tired of doing things my way. Help me to start doing things Your way. I invite You into my life to be my Lord and Savior. Please, fill the emptiness in me with Your Holy Spirit and make me whole. Lord, help me to trust You...help me to love You...help me to live my life for You...help me to understand Your grace, Your Mercy and Your peace. 

Thank You Lord...Amen
